This was a project which was developed of analysing a denim jacket.
I looked and researched into the fit and fabrication of the specific outerwear garment where I was inspired by the brand Dice Kayek and Renaissance art mixing the two idea's together. Frills and puff sleeves were the main focus within the research inspiring me to create my final garment. 
The main aim was to keep the traditional denim jacket features with a dramatic twist, which was where the oversized puff sleeves came in.

For the project i made a prototype garment in calico showing the functions before the garment goes into 'production' on an industry scale. Sampling types and thicknesses of denim for production.
The colour of the denim was a key feature of this project as I went for a deep indigo and keeping the traditional brown thick threads to match.
